Paul Evans BSc (Econ)
Managing Director

Academically, Paul is a Financial Economist, which brings him considerable knowledge in the analysis and valuation of securities, including future income streams and yield calculations.

Paul has over 20 years’ experience of pension administration within most pension products and this includes a significant number of years spent on UK “Self Invested” products (SIPP, SSAS and FURBS).

He has worked for a wide range of companies including Insurance Companies, Consulting Actuaries and Independent Trustee Companies which gives him an in-depth experience and knowledge of the workings of the pensions industry.

Paul has run pension trustee companies in the UK for over 10 years and also previously held senior technical positions including Technical Manager for Occupational Pensions at Prudential.

He has been involved with transfers to overseas schemes prior to April 2006 and since then he has led the way in promoting multiple international jurisdictions which along with UK schemes, brings a truly holistic approach to global pensions solutions.

His running of pension trustee companies and dealing with a wide range of pension products and their suitable investments over the years provides Brooklands Pensions with extensive experience and knowledge along with the ability to apply this in a pragmatic manner.

Paul’s experience has enabled Brooklands Pensions to establish itself as a leading name in the industry for innovation and product development.


Keith Boniface
Marketing Director

Keith owned and ran a specialist pension IFA employee benefits consultancy company in the UK for over 20 years before selling this and his IT business to concentrate on setting up Brooklands International.

Brooklands Pensions never deal direct with clients and only sell via advisers, and Keith’s extensive IFA experience means he understands what advisers want from a product provider and what clients need from the products.

Keith is first and foremost a hands-on marketing and sales professional with extensive technical pension knowledge. As such he spends his time helping IFAs and Advisers to develop their expertise so they can provide solutions for their clients.


Bernadette Saker
Business Development Manager

Bernadette is based in Dubai and is Brooklands Business Development Manager for Middle East and Asia, with responsibility for business development and building relationships with intermediaries who use Brooklands wide range of pension solutions for their clients.

Bernadette joined Brooklands after gaining 23 years’ experience in the finance industry, covering all aspects of private banking and fund distribution. She holds numerous qualifications, including IAC, CEFA, CEMAP and Islamic Finance. She also attained her International Diploma for Anti-Money Laundering Officers from Manchester University.

Bernadette is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management. She is currently studying towards her Life and Pensions Qualifications.


Ben Lester
Business Development Manager

Ben is the newest member of the Brooklands Team.  Based in Hong Kong , Ben works as business development in Asia, supporting our current introducers in the region and developing new relationships as the company expands.

Ben’s career in financial services started over ten years ago in the UK where he trained and qualified as a financial consultant with a large banking group.

In 2005, Ben moved to the Middle East and developed his skills as a talented expatriate client adviser.   Ben was soon managing a team and instilling a culture of quality advice including the provision of client focused financial solutions. Ben Moved to Hong Kong in 2010 as part of an expansion of the Wealth Management firm in which he was one of the founders.

Ben has maintained his knowledge through industry qualifications and has many accreditations in both the UK and Hong Kong.

Ben is recently married and expecting his first child in 2012 he is eagerly anticipating the challenges that fatherhood brings.  Ben is a keen sportsman and aspiring distance runner and completed first marathon in 2008.  He is currently in training for another in 2012.


Mark Sanderson
Communications Manager

Mark is Communications Manager at Brooklands and is responsible for publications and branding across all of the Brooklands range, as well as being the face of Brooklands, presenting and training introducers and at conferences and developing marketing material for publication.

Since Mark graduated with an Honours degree in Finance and Economics he has gained an in-depth knowledge in the pensions arena over the last 10 years.

Mark specialises in esoteric investments within pension products, property transactions, contracts and multinational defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, having worked with most of the well-known named pension providers throughout the UK which is a highly regulated environment.

His varied and in-depth knowledge and working experience of the pensions industry covered the SSAS and SIPP market and he continues to offer guidance in this area through our distribution channels.

Mark is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and uses the designation of CertPFS, having attained his qualifications in Life and Pensions.


Chris Holyoak
Technical Manager

Chris is Technical Manager for Brooklands and is responsible for both the Technical and Compliance Departments covering the various jurisdictions offered by Brooklands.

His primary focuses are the ongoing development of administration systems and procedures, product development and along with his respective teams, technically supporting the company, scheme members and the business introducers across the globe.

In his previous role Chris was a key figure in building a pension administration company from the ground up and turning it into an extremely successful business.   Chris possesses a solid and practicable understanding of the legal and regulatory pension frameworks across multiple jurisdictions and is an extremely talented technician, which means he is able to help support across the company in many different areas.

Chris specialised in defined contribution arrangements and has worked in many areas of the self invested pension sector for several years.  Chris also has a wealth of experience of working on the development of investment products for pension schemes.

Chris and his team are committed to delivering the highest standards of support both internally and externally to both add value to the Brooklands products and services and also to ensure people remain as informed as possible on how one can use the provisions and services Brooklands offer.

Chris is a keen traveller, linguist and a fair musician and has recorded several published tracks over time.


James Bonner
Compliance Consultant

James is Compliance Consultant for Brooklands, a role which carries with it a remit for legislative and regulatory compliance supervision across all our jurisdictional offerings.

James has fourteen years’ experience in the pensions arena which commenced with one of the UK’s largest Life offices.  James later progressed onto the role of SIPP Technician and he therefore has solid ‘cradle to grave’ pensions knowledge with a focus on High Net Worth individuals.

James moved into the field of compliance with a large multi-national IFA/Accountancy practice, managing all internal controls and specialising in ‘Platform’ investments.   There, James completed miscellaneous FSA thematic reviews, including Platforms, Treating Customers Fairly and Pension Transfer business.

Prior to his move to Brooklands, James was a Compliance Consultant with another large Edinburgh based Life office, solely charged with providing oversight to their newly established SIPP/Platform project.

James is in regular contact with our regulators and associated bodies across our multi jurisdictions and has a keen appreciation of global financial compliance issues.

James is an accomplished cyclist but injury has meant that his participation is now more likely to be restricted to watching the Tour de France from the sidelines.


Scott McEwan
Technical Consultant

Scott is a Technical Consultant, offering internal and external technical support throughout the company.

When Scott joined the Brooklands Team he brought with him over thirteen years of pensions industry experience.

Scott comes from one of the UK’s largest pension providers and has extensive experience in Income Drawdown, investments and pension management software implementation.  Scott was part of the team who developed the company’s SIPP product and brought it to market before moving on to work on development of the accompanying wrap platform.

Scott’s work with internal and external stakeholders allows him to be an invaluable part of the Brooklands team that develops policies and procedures.  Scott also offers huge support to our introducers with his handling of technical queries and business support.

Another of Scott’s key areas of focus is around investment acceptability checks.  Scott’s previous experience in pensions and investments gives him all of the skills necessary to make a balanced judgement on the viability of a product as a pension scheme investment.

Scott is a keen sportsman and an avid rugby fan and can often be found cheering on his beloved Leinster in the Heineken Cup.



Erica Stephens
Administration Manager

Erica is charged with managing and overseeing our entire administrative operation which currently consist of over 30 members of staff and is the catalyst for the provision of all of the Brooklands products.

Working closely with the various departments in Brooklands to continually improve and develop the services we offer, as well as being on the forefront of customer service, Erica and her team are one of the most important areas of our company, as it is the department which deals with the day to day services for our clients.  Erica and her team continually prove themselves, going that extra mile to give the best possible service, an accolade to Erica’s leadership and the effectiveness of the team.

Erica has nine years pension administration experience, specialising in Defined Contribution arrangements.  Having worked in all areas of pension administration, starting off her career as a pension administrator and quickly progressing, Erica always puts a huge emphasis on training and development and encourages her teams to take advantage of the extensive internal and external training which Brooklands Pensions offer their staff.

Erica has a great deal of experience in all area of pension administration including; Group, Stakeholder, Occupational, Personal Pensions as well as in SIPP and QROPS.

Erica is passionate about providing the highest level of customer service and ensures her teams know the importance of the work that they do.
